Vacuum Stabilizer Control
Higher efficiency
Extends service life
Back-up protection
Automatic alternation

The Vacuum Stabilizer Control (VSC) is an automated control system for two RAMVAC power units.

Use the Vacuum Stabilizer Control When:
  1. You want to use smaller dual Power Units instead of a single larger Power Unit
  2. A single Power Unit efficiently serves your "normal" vacuum uses but a second Power Unit may be occasionally required.
What It Does:
  1. Automatically turns on a "Standby" Power Unit if vacuum begins to get weak
  2. Automatically turns off a "Standby" Power Unit if vacuum remains strong
  3. Automatically alternates Power Units
How It Works:
Clinical personnel turn the system on and off from a single switch on RAMVAC Remote Control Panel. The switch connects to a "Master" S1 Electrols mounted to one of the power units. A "Slave" S1 Electrols is mounted to the second power unit and communicates with the "Master".

Power Units alternate each time the system is turned on. The power unit initially turned on is referred to as the "Primary" power unit. The remaining power unit is the "Standby". Once on, the system responds to changes in vacuum strength by switching the "Standby" vacuum power unit on and off.

If vacuum becomes too weak: A vacuum pressure switch (part of the VSC package) closes. If the vacuum stays weak for at least 15 seconds the "Standby" power unit is switched on.

When vacuum becomes "strong": The vacuum pressure switch opens. If both power units are running and the vacuum stays strong for at least 15 minutes the "Standby" vacuum power unit is switched off.

Adjustments: The pressure switch can be adjusted in the field. Time delays can be adjusted by reprogramming
